Nuvora is a routine companion for people using GLP-1 medications. Nuvora is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, or emergency services.
By using Nuvora, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use, we may collect the following categories of information.
2.1 Account and contact information
We may collect:
- email address;
- account identifier;
- authentication-provider identifier;
- limited profile information voluntarily supplied by the user.
When Sign in with Apple is used, Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of the user's personal email address.
2.2 Health and routine information
Nuvora allows users to voluntarily enter information such as:
- medication name;
- dose information;
- injection schedule;
- reminder preferences;
- weight;
- target weight;
- height;
- hydration goals and logs;
- protein goals and logs;
- meals and estimated nutritional information;
- side effects;
- symptoms;
- daily check-ins;
- exercise information;
- notes;
- treatment-stage information;
- information included in exported reports.
This information may qualify as health-related or sensitive personal information under applicable law.
Nuvora does not independently verify information entered by users and does not use it to diagnose, prescribe, or provide medical treatment.
2.3 User-generated content
We may process content users choose to submit, including:
- messages sent to the NUVORA assistant;
- support communications;
- notes;
- optional documents uploaded by the user;
- information included in reports.
2.4 Meal photos
When a user chooses to analyze a meal, the user may take or select a photo.
The photo is transmitted securely for analysis and processed for the purpose of generating estimated meal information.
The original meal photo is processed transiently and is not retained by Nuvora after analysis.
Extracted or user-confirmed values, such as estimated calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, serving information, and meal description, may be saved to the user's account.
Meal analysis is an estimate and may be inaccurate. It is not medical or nutritional treatment advice.
2.5 Subscription information
Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple.
Nuvora may receive limited subscription information through Apple and RevenueCat, including:
- subscription status;
- product identifier;
- entitlement status;
- purchase or renewal status;
- expiration information;
- anonymized or account-linked purchase identifiers.
Nuvora does not receive or store complete credit card or bank-account details.
2.6 Device and technical information
We may process limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service, such as:
- operating system version;
- app version;
- device platform;
- general technical event information;
- redacted error information;
- notification permission status;
- security and authentication events.
We do not use device information to create advertising profiles.
2.7 Website information
The public Nuvora website is primarily informational.
The website should not use advertising trackers, behavioral advertising, data brokers, or invasive third-party analytics.
Basic hosting infrastructure may process limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, request time, and security logs as necessary to deliver and protect the website.
3. How We Use Information

4. AI Processing
Nuvora includes AI-supported features.
Messages sent to the NUVORA assistant and meal-analysis requests may be transmitted to third-party AI service providers solely to generate the requested response or analysis.
AI systems may produce incomplete, incorrect, or inappropriate results.
Users should independently evaluate AI-generated information and consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding medication, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, or health decisions.
We do not authorize AI providers to use Nuvora user content for advertising on our behalf.
5. Local Notifications
Nuvora may request permission to send local notifications for reminders.
Reminder schedules may be stored on the user's device and, where necessary, synchronized with the user's account.
Users can control notification permissions through iOS Settings.
Nuvora cannot guarantee delivery of every notification because delivery may be affected by device settings, operating-system behavior, power state, connectivity, or user configuration.
6. How We Share Information
We may share limited information with service providers that help operate Nuvora, including providers of:
- cloud database and authentication services;
- secure infrastructure;
- AI processing;
- subscription management;
- email and support infrastructure;
- security monitoring;
- website hosting.
These providers process information only for their contracted purposes and subject to applicable agreements and safeguards.
We may also disclose information:
- when required by law or valid legal process;
- to protect users, Nuvora, or others;
- to investigate fraud, abuse, or security threats;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell personal information.
We do not share personal information with data brokers for advertising purposes.
7. Data Storage and Security
Nuvora uses technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information.

- encrypted transmission;

- account-level data isolation;

- private storage;
- server-side authorization;
- security monitoring;
- deletion procedures.
No system can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their credentials and notify us if they suspect unauthorized account access.

- maintain the user's account;
- satisfy legal obligations;
- resolve disputes;
- prevent fraud and abuse;

When an account is deleted, associated personal data is removed from active systems, subject to limited retention required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, backups, or technical recovery.
Backup copies may remain for a limited period before being securely overwritten.
9. Account Deletion
Users can request permanent account deletion directly inside the Nuvora app.
Open: Profile → Delete Account
Deleting the app from a device does not automatically delete the user's account.
Subscription cancellation is separate from account deletion. Apple subscriptions must be managed through Apple ID subscription settings.

10. User Rights and Choices
Depending on location and applicable law, users may have rights to:
- access personal information;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion;

11. California Privacy Notice
California residents may have rights under applicable California privacy law.
Nuvora does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

12. Children
Nuvora is not directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that we collected information from a child under 13, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Users under the age of legal majority should use Nuvora only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian where required.
13. International Data Processing
Information may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
Those jurisdictions may have different data-protection laws than the user's location.
Where required, we use appropriate mechanisms to support lawful international data transfers.

Nuvora may interact with services provided by Apple, RevenueCat, Supabase, OpenAI, website-hosting providers, and other infrastructure providers.
Their independent privacy practices may apply when users interact directly with those services.
Nuvora is not responsible for third-party websites or services that are not controlled by us.
15. Medical and Emergency Notice
Nuvora is not a healthcare provider, medical device, emergency service, or substitute for professional care.
Do not rely on Nuvora to diagnose symptoms, determine treatment, change medication, select dosage, or respond to an emergency.

16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.
